Introduction:
Potassium feldspar belongs to monoclinic system.
Its theoretical composition is SiO264.7%, Al2O3 18.4%, K2O 16.9%.
It has the properties of low melting point (1150-20 °C) and long melting time interval, high melt viscosity etc.

Application:
(1) ceramic body ingredients:
in the firing of feldspar can be barren of raw materials, reduce green body drying shrinkage and deformation, improve the drying performance, shorten the drying time.
(2) glass flux:
feldspar is one of the main ingredients of glass mixture. Feldspar containing Al2O3 high, low iron content and than alumina fusible, not only the melting temperature is low and wide melting range, is mainly used to improve the content of alumina glass batching, reduce the melting temperatures of glass production and increase the content of alkali, in order to reduce alkali dosage.
